Product description
Humidity domes designed for acclimating tissue-culture plantlets and promoting propagation create a consistently moist microclimate. The clear cover helps retain warmth and humidity during the fragile early stages of growth, making it suitable for germinating seeds, hardening off lab-grown plantlets and rooting cuttings. One unit supports a plant from initial rooting through to a sturdy starter ready for transplant.
Each pot uses a fine cotton wick to draw water from a base reservoir into the inner cup, delivering steady moisture to sensitive root systems while reducing frequent surface watering. The wick system is compatible with potting soil, LECA, PON, coco coir and other semi-hydro substrates commonly used in propagation.
The design features a semi-transparent inner cup and an outer pot so you can watch root development and reservoir volume without lifting the lid. This visibility is helpful for tiny Alocasia corms, miniature African violets, small-leaf Hoya cuttings, carnivorous plants like sundews and pitchers, and other compact species that thrive in stable humidity.
Side-fill access allows you to add water directly to the reservoir without removing the dome or inner cup, minimizing disturbance to fragile roots. The reservoir holds up to 2 oz / 60 ml and includes water level markers and measurement gradations for quick checks. Bottom ventilation holes encourage airflow around the inner cup. The removable outer pot doubles as a small pouring cup or substrate scoop during setup.
This kit contains 12 clear semi-transparent self-watering pots with matching humidity domes and 12 frosted plant labels for easy tracking of varieties and dates. Each pot measures approximately 1.93" wide × 3.6" tall (4.9 × 9.2 cm), excluding the dome. The compact footprint works well on windowsills, grow stations and greenhouse racks and also suits early-stage seed starting for herbs and small vegetables.
Note: These are small propagation pots intended for seedlings, corms and cuttings. Please verify the dimensions for your plants. Both inner and outer components are molded from semi-clear plastic for visibility while retaining durability and resistance to compression.
Pros
- Consistent bottom-watering via cotton wick
- Clear dual-layer design for root and water visibility
- Includes 12 domes and frosted ID labels
Cons
- Small footprint limits use to tiny plants
- Dome shape may require leaf trimming for taller growth
- Reservoir capacity is modest (60 ml)
VerdictA convenient small-format propagation system that locks in humidity while providing gentle bottom watering via cotton wicks. Ideal for delicate seedlings, tissue-culture acclimation and tiny corms—especially for windowsills, shelves and greenhouse benches. Great visibility of roots and water level reduces disturbance during early growth, though its compact size limits it to small plants and extra

Missing domes in my shipment
The pots themselves are fine, but the set arrived without the humidity domes, which defeated the main purpose for me.

Well made, but consider a larger size for bigger TCs
Solid construction and useful clear tags that tuck into the lip. The 2" cups work for seed starting and small tissue-culture plantlets, though many of my TCs needed leaf trimming to avoid contact with the sloped dome. Lids seal reliably; next time I may opt for a slightly taller size.

Exactly the size I needed for lab-grown starts
Charming little pots that have handled tissue-culture acclimation without issue. They retain moisture effectively and have been dependable for delicate plantlets.

Ideal for Alocasia corms
Perfect tiny self-watering containers for growing corms. My Alocasias are thriving and I’ll pick up more when needed.

Useful system—watch post-repot timing
They perform well for ongoing bottom-watering, but don’t activate the reservoir right after repotting; allow roots to establish first or you risk rot. Also take care in low-light, cool months. I’d welcome larger size options.

Worked great for corm propagation
These mini self-watering pots were just right for my corms and helped produce healthy new growth.

Simple to operate for AV starters
Using these for African violets has been straightforward. The size is right for starter plants and they make keeping soil evenly moist much easier. I recommend them for small houseplant starters.

Good build but no real greenhouse seal
Well-constructed pots, however the set I used didn’t produce a strong trapped-humidity effect since the top shape is tapered rather than a true vertical dome.

Keeps tiny starts happily hydrated
Great for transitioning cuttings from water to soil. The wick maintains even moisture so these little pots don’t dry out as fast as typical 2" containers. I still spot-check with a moisture meter, but ferns and other babies have done very well. Despite their height, they feel stable once filled.
