This kit contains three ready-to-use UV adhesives formulated for fly tying and similar small-scale craft or repair jobs: a thick (standard) formula for building heads and shaping bodies, a thin formula for flowing into tight areas and coating wings or small details, and a flexible formula designed to retain movement in soft materials and protect knots.
The liquids are formulated to cure under UV light in seconds, producing a glass-smooth, crystal-clear surface that resists yellowing and is described as tack-free after proper curing. Bottles come fitted to accept the included applicator tips; if a nozzle clogs you can clear it with a dubbing needle. No heating or mixing is required—each compound is supplied ready to apply.
The kit also includes a compact 12-LED UV lamp (395–400 nm) to initiate curing. Lamp details: 12 UV LEDs, brightness about 11,000 mcd, powered by three AAA batteries (not included), tail switch operation, approx. 6–8 hours of total battery life depending on use, product weight about 73 g. Lamp dimensions are approximately 3.86 × 1.22 × 1.14 in (9.8 × 3.1 × 2.9 cm) and the set ships in a white box.
Common uses are building surf candies, shrimp and baitfish heads, sealing small thread heads, coating decal eyes, finishing nymphs and scuds, and providing a protective layer over knots and delicate materials. Because the adhesives require UV exposure to cure, they are most effective where light can reach the applied area or when thin layers are built up and cured incrementally.

Not compatible with some soft materials
It caused separation with squirmy wormy material. At first it looked fine but the next day layers delaminated and could be peeled away.

Not ideal for gluing eyes
Fine for securing wraps, but problematic for attaching eyes — the lamp sometimes leaves a tacky finish and there is an odor.

Failed to cure in my test
It would not set for a 3D printed piece I tried to bond. I tested multiple lights and the glue stayed wet and slid apart; also no guidance was included for the extra tips.

Know what it can and can't do
All three formulas cure to a hard, clear finish and are quite sticky before curing. They won’t set where the UV light can’t reach, so they’re best for coatings, clear plastic and exposed joins.

Good value for multiple uses
I use UV resin for electronics and repairs. The dispensing tips help control flow and alternating dispensing with the lamp builds layers reliably. It cures aggressively; occasional tack can be removed with alcohol.
