Product description
This bundle contains six rolls of fine-line masking tape, one roll each of 1/16" (1.5 mm), 1/8" (3 mm), 1/5" (5 mm), 2/5" (10 mm), 1/2" (12 mm) and 3/4" (18 mm). Each roll measures approximately 55 yards (about 50 m), giving ample length for multiple projects.
The tapes are made from a textured paper designed for painting and detailing. The paper is tearable by hand, water-resistant once applied, and intended to remove cleanly without leaving visible adhesive if used under recommended conditions.
A rubber-based adhesive provides reliable grip on flat and gently contoured surfaces. It’s formulated to hold during spraying or brushing yet release without damaging most paints and substrates when peeled off at a steady angle.
For curved or rounded areas, press and smooth the tape into place with your fingers as you apply it—hold the tape taut and follow the contour slowly to maintain a tight fit. The flexibility of the tape helps it conform to shallow recesses and edges.
Ideal applications include automotive pinstriping and detailing, airbrush and spray projects, watercolor and mixed-media masking, and fine craft or model work. Choosing the appropriate width reduces waste and improves control for precise lines.
Pros
- Multiple narrow widths for precision masking
- Long 55-yard rolls provide lots of tape
- Paper backing tears easily and conforms well
Cons
- Some users report adhesive residue on sensitive plastics
- Not all surfaces accept the tape equally
- A few rolls may feel plastic-like rather than paper
VerdictA versatile set offering multiple narrow widths and long rolls that handle most pinstriping, craft and painting needs. Many users praise adhesion and clean removal, though a minority report adhesive residue or material differences—good value if you test it on your intended surface first.

Left unwanted residue on model
I used it on a plastic model and it left so much adhesive that the piece was ruined. Not suitable for delicate plastics in my experience.

Narrow widths great for miniatures
I appreciated the very thin tapes for masking tiny areas on figures and models.

Clean release and multiple sizes
Good quality, easy to remove and the different widths are useful for detailed striping.

Material differs from listing
Widths were correct but the tape felt plastic rather than paper and didn’t suit my needs; return shipping was a hassle.

Does what I need for guitar work
Applied evenly, removed without residue, and the variety of widths is handy for fret and body masking.

Did not stick or block paint
This set failed to adhere properly on my project and allowed significant bleed-through. It ruined the work and was unusable for me.
-
Charmayne Sears 5/5
Won't bond to glossy specialty paper
Worked great on my art project and held up well, but it failed to stick to some high-sheen coated papers.

Not what I expected
Quality was lower than anticipated and it didn’t match the description I had in mind.
-
RobH2ohues 5/5
Reliable for watercolor edges
Kept paper white where masked, peeled off cleanly and prevented paint bleed under the edge.
-
Luc Hubert 5/5
Big rolls, good for airbrush projects
Plenty of tape on each roll and performed well as masking for airbrushing.

Held well for wet watercolor test
I applied heavy washes and the tape stayed put with no seepage. It removed cleanly and didn’t tear my paper.
