Product description
Premium full-grain buffalo leather remnants, vegetable-tanned and finished in a rustic "crazy horse" style. These scraps retain the look, scent, and tactile quality of real leather and will develop deeper patina and character as they age.
This listing contains approximately 3 pounds of assorted offcuts. Because these are leftover pieces from workshop production, you should expect imperfections — scars, marks, or irregular edges are part of the package. Most buyers report around 85% of the material is usable for crafting once defects are trimmed out.
Materials and dimensions: 100% genuine full-grain buffalo hide, primarily brown tones, with an approximate thickness of 1.5 mm. Shapes and sizes vary widely and are distributed at random — some pieces are large enough for wallets or bracelets, while others are best for small embellishments or practice work.
Recommended uses: ideal for leather jewelry (earrings, bracelets, chokers), straps, small wallets, keychains, patches, stamping, tooling practice, Cricut projects, and other leathercraft accessories. The substantial hand and pull-up finish make these scraps well suited for keepsakes and rugged accessories that age well.
Extras: each pack includes a durable 36" (91 cm) leather cord, useful right away for necklaces, wrap bracelets, toggles, or decorative bindings. The cord expands the immediate possibilities without needing to source additional findings.
Pros
- Genuine full-grain buffalo leather
- Generous 3 lb quantity with varied uses
- Comes with a 36" (91 cm) leather cord
Cons
- Predominantly brown tones, limited color variety
- Random sizes — not all pieces are large
- Some natural blemishes and irregular edges
VerdictThese genuine full-grain buffalo remnants deliver substantial, durable leather suitable for a wide range of small projects. The vegetable-tanned, crazy-horse style hides develop a rich patina over time. Expect many usable pieces but also natural blemishes — roughly 85% usable is typical. The included 36" cord adds immediate options for jewelry and closures. Good value for practice, crafting, and r

Good quality scraps, mostly usable
These are genuine leather pieces, not junk. Only one small strip had a mark, but I found plenty of unmarked sections to use. Pleased with the overall quality.

All brown despite 'assorted' claim
Leather itself is good, but mine arrived only in brown tones despite the listing saying assorted colors.

Not true to multi-color claim
To be honest, the pack did not include multiple colors as stated. Mostly brown.

Works well for small projects
Nice sizes and shades for minor craft builds. I’ve reordered several times and haven’t been disappointed with what I received.

Great starter bundle for beginners
A useful assortment for learning leatherwork. Don’t expect large hides, but there’s good weight and color variety compared with other grab bags I’ve tried.

Satisfied with the amount and variety
Exactly as advertised — a generous pile of scraps. Some pieces are big enough for projects, others for practice. Happy with the quantity.

As described, though pieces are small
Pieces were smaller than I expected and there were more blemishes than advertised (closer to 25–30%). Found a few nice eggplant and tan bits among mostly dark brown pieces; fine for rugged wallets.

Nice quality — plenty for sheath projects
Good leather quality. Plenty of material to make knife, axe, or machete sheaths for hobby projects.

High quality and versatile scraps
Wide range of sizes and textures, from tiny bits to larger sections. Leather is supple and durable, cuts cleanly, and handles stamping and stitching well.

Unexpected blues but still useful
Mixed bag with many blue pieces I didn’t expect, but I turned them into matching covers and the rest of the scraps are inspiring for wallets and holders. Great for hobbyists.

Decent for practice, not as colorful
Solid value for someone starting leatherwork — lots of usable bits. My pack was almost entirely dark brown with a couple olive pieces, so don’t expect a bright assortment.

Mostly brown with a stray color
Entirely brown except for one blue scrap. Weight was correct. Good leather, just not the varied colors shown in photos.
