Product description
Right size for newborns: This NB (newborn) Swaddle Up is designed for babies from 2.2 to 3.8 kg and up to roughly 60 cm (24 in). Choosing the weight- and length-specific size helps the garment sit snugly at the shoulders while leaving the hips free for healthy movement.
Arms-up design: The swaddle uses an arms-up layout so infants can sleep in their natural hands-up position. That positioning allows little hands to reach the mouth for self-soothing and aims to support longer, more settled sleep from the first weeks.
Fast, simple closure: The piece has a twin, two-way zipper for easy application and quick diaper changes—no scratchy velcro or fiddly snaps. It’s made to be intuitive for parents, carers, and grandparents, even during nighttime changes.
Fabric and warmth: Constructed from soft, breathable cotton, this 1.0 TOG sleep sack is intended for moderate room temperatures (about 68–75°F). The stretchy material stays put through the night, helping to eliminate loose blankets and reduce the chance of fabric covering the face.
How to use: Slip the swaddle on like a sleep sack, secure the zipper, and use the two-way zip to reach the diaper area without fully opening the sleep sack. Layer underneath as needed for cooler rooms; the garment itself is lightweight and comfortable for delicate skin.
Pros
- Hands-up layout encourages self-soothing
- Two-way zipper for fast diaper changes
- Soft cotton 1.0 TOG suited to moderate temps
Cons
- Newborn size can be outgrown quickly
- Not warm enough alone for cold rooms
- Some babies move more compared with tight blanket swaddles
VerdictA practical newborn swaddle that encourages hands-up self-soothing, is quick to use with a two-way zipper, and provides a lightweight cotton layer for temperate rooms. Good for newborn sleep routines, though infants may outgrow the NB size quickly.

Game changer for a baby who hates arms down
My newborn hated traditional swaddles, so this arms-up version was a revelation. He settles faster and looks comfortable. It’s neither bulky nor restrictive, gives good coverage, and the material stays dry and soft. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend to others with similar needs.

Saved our nights — bought another
This was such a help that I bought an extra. The construction feels premium and the fabric is super soft on my baby’s skin. The pattern is cute and, most importantly, my baby sleeps much better with arms-up. A true lifesaver for tired parents.

Switched from blanket to arms-up and she sleeps
We’d been using a pinned blanket to keep arms down, but once we tried this arms-up style she began sleeping through the night. She took a day to adjust, the inner fabric is gentle, and the whole piece feels durable.

So convenient for late-night changes
As a new mom I love how easy this is to use. The fabric is soft and breathable, cleans well, and the zipper beats fiddly velcro or blanket wrapping—huge help during midnight changes. Our daughter prefers her hands up and sleeps noticeably better in this than other options.

Great for startle reflex, lightweight
This helped control my baby’s startle reflex and improved sleep. The fabric is thin and breathable, ideal for warmer rooms. It felt very soft and attractive, though my baby grew out of the NB size sooner than I expected — wish I’d gone up a size.

Worked well for our newborn, then stopped for rolling
It fit our 9 lb baby nicely and kept him comfortable and warm. When he began to roll we stopped using it for safety, but the quality and comfort were excellent. We’ll use it again for our next newborn.

My baby sleeps better, not too hot or cold
My baby rests much more peacefully in this swaddle; it keeps him contained so he doesn’t wake as often during the night. He sleeps better and so do we.

A hybrid between a sleep sack and swaddle
It’s perfect for babies who need some containment but still want to move their hands. My son can bring his hands to his chest for night feeds but still feels snug enough to fall asleep quickly. No velcro makes it as easy to put on as a sleep sack. Lightweight cotton is good for spring and summer; the 0–3 size matched my 6 kg child but will fit only for a short while.

Helped extend night stretches
After a week of use my son seemed much more comfortable and started sleeping longer stretches — from 2–3 hours to about 5, once almost 7. He does move and grunt more than with a blanket, but overall he’s more content and easier to settle. Washed frequently and still looks like new.

Cute and well made
I like it very much. The design is lovely and the material feels high quality. Oddly, it recommends washing after every use, which seemed excessive to me.

Great option for the first weeks
We used this in the newborn weeks and our baby slept comfortably. After a few weeks we stopped so he could learn to sleep without it, but it was a helpful newborn aid.

Good material, not ideal for my daughter
The fabric is excellent, but my daughter preferred a traditional wrap swaddle. A handy feature is the two-way zipper — I could change her while it stayed closed and she didn’t fully wake up.
