Product description
This set contains two distinct shovels to handle a range of outdoor tasks. Included: one 18.5-inch folding shovel constructed from heat-treated high-carbon steel, and one ultralight backpacking shovel forged from a lightweight aluminum alloy.
The long-handled tool uses a three-section folding layout with aluminum spiral joints so the head folds down to about 7.5 inches for compact storage. It features a triangular handle for firm leverage, a serrated edge for cutting small branches or roots, and a pick section for chipping ice or breaking hard soil. A nylon carry pouch is provided for transport and protection.
The ultralight shovel has an ergonomic extended non-slip handle and a blade sized to move soil quickly while remaining minimal in weight and volume. Its aluminum construction resists rust and corrosion while keeping pack weight low, making it suitable for ultralight hikers and quick campsite tasks like digging cat holes or clearing debris.
Both tools are aimed at outdoor, garden, and roadside uses: camping, backpacking, survival situations, automotive recovery, and general yard work. The high-carbon steel model handles tougher terrain such as mud, packed snow, and sandy soils, while the ultralight piece shines for portability and short, frequent digs.
The combination offers a compact kit without carrying multiple full-size tools. Also included is online customer support to assist with any post-purchase questions or concerns.
Pros
- Durable high-carbon steel folding shovel
- Very light aluminum hiking shovel
- Compact folding design with nylon pouch
Cons

VerdictA versatile two-tool combo that covers lightweight trail chores and heavier campsite work. The long folding shovel brings strength and saw/pick features for cutting roots and breaking ice, while the ultralight alloy shovel offers portability for fast hole digging and Leave No Trace use. Good choice for hikers and drivers who want compact backup tools, though they’re not intended for extended heavy

Poor quality — failed quickly
Terrible item. Spot welds came apart within days of use.

Exactly what I needed for trips
Compact, practical, and perfect for my camping outings. Does exactly what I expected.

Solid value for light-duty tasks
For general emergency gear this little shovel delivers. Don’t expect it to replace a full-size tool, but it’s tough enough for light digs and frequent trips. It fits neatly in my kit and meets my needs without fuss.

Works well on the beach with a small caveat
Very compact and lightweight — ideal for sandy spots. Occasionally sand will jam the fold, but once cleared it snaps shut normally. Performs admirably in sand when it’s clean.

Powerful but a bit wobbly
Solid construction and strong when digging, but the joint can feel loose which makes it awkward at times. Still easy to carry and lightweight, just wish the connection was tighter.

Minimalist favorite, with minor damage after heavy use
I bought this for its compactness and multi-function design and it checked those boxes. I’ve bent the shaft slightly and the pick tip is a bit warped from pushing it beyond intended use — the only reason I knocked a star off. For true heavy digging it’s not built for that, but as a camping/survival tool used responsibly it’s extremely handy.

Noah Clark 5/5
Sturdy compact shovel for camping and roadside use
I picked up this collapsible shovel and it has performed very well. The high-carbon steel feels robust and handles dense soil without flexing. The hinge locks smoothly and stays secure during digging. It doubles as a saw and pick, which is handy for cutting roots and prying hard ground. When folded it’s compact enough to stash in my trunk or pack for emergencies.
