Product description
Overview
The Hercules DJControl Mix is a compact Bluetooth DJ controller built to work with smartphones and tablets. It provides a familiar two-deck layout with touch-style jog wheels, channel faders, filter and EQ knobs, and multi-function pads so you can cue, loop and trigger samples on the go. The unit is finished in white and uses lightweight ABS plastic with rubberized jog surfaces for grip.
What’s included
The package contains the DJControl Mix unit, a detachable foldable smartphone stand that clamps into the back of the controller, a USB-C cable for power and data, quick-start documentation, and a license code for the Algoriddim djay app compatible with iOS and Android.
Size and build
Designed for portability, the controller measures roughly 12 x 6 x 1 inches and weighs under a pound, making it easy to toss into a backpack. The chassis is molded plastic with raised, tactile controls and responsive jog disks sized for compact use rather than full-style decks.
How it’s used
Power is supplied via the included USB-C cable (the unit does not house an internal battery), and pairing to your phone or tablet is done over Bluetooth for audio and control. The foldable phone stand holds most phones and small tablets at an upright angle. Launch the included Algoriddim djay app, pair the controller, then use the jog wheels, faders, knobs and pads to mix two decks, add effects, and practice routines wherever you are.
Pros
- True Bluetooth wireless control for easy phone/tablet pairing
- Compact two-deck layout with jog wheels, faders and performance pads
- Includes Algoriddim djay app access and a foldable phone stand
Cons
- No built-in battery — requires external USB power
- Lightweight plastic construction feels less robust than pro gear
- Feature set is limited compared with full-sized controllers
VerdictA lightweight, travel-friendly two-deck controller that brings core DJ controls to iOS and Android devices via Bluetooth. Excellent wireless companion for phone DJing
Pairs smoothly with my iPad and iPhone running DJAY Pro. Bluetooth setup was straightforward and it’s genuinely enjoyable to use. Only downside: it needs external power instead of an internal battery.

Great for casual sets and returning DJs
Ideal for practicing or small family gatherings without hauling heavy gear. Helped me get back into DJing after years away; I later bought pro equipment but still keep this tucked away for quick outings.

Very good quality for learning
Great product for beginners learning tricks and transitions. It serves novices well and can still be fun for more experienced users.

Frustrating connectivity and budget feel
I struggled to pair it with multiple newer phones; only an older Galaxy S20 connected reliably. The build feels inexpensive and the absence of an internal battery is disappointing. Software integration also felt inconsistent on some devices.

Friendly, travel-ready unit for casual DJs
Compared to my larger computer-focused controllers, this Bluetooth unit connects to my phone instantly and accesses Apple Music easily. It’s not as feature-rich as bigger models, but it’s perfect for casual sets at home or outdoors and comes with basic tutorial videos.

Handy compact practice rig with sensible wireless setup
Compact controllers are rare; this one pairs easily thanks to built-in Bluetooth and official djay support across platforms. For a fully wireless session, attach a USB-C power bank and use Bluetooth speakers or earbuds. I noticed no controller lag over Bluetooth, though Bluetooth audio can introduce latency depending on the speaker choice.
