Product description

This listing supplies a set of 17-inch cast iron cooking grates intended as direct replacements for Charbroil Commercial Tru-Infrared three-burner grills. The package contains three 17" cast iron cooking grates (one for each burner) sized to match the original factory bars.

Manufactured from heavy cast iron, these grates are thicker and more robust than typical enameled bars. The material stores and radiates heat evenly, which helps create pronounced sear marks on steaks, chops, vegetables, and other foods. Their sturdy construction resists chipping from normal handling and cooking use.

Compatibility covers numerous Charbroil Commercial Infrared models, including but not limited to: 463355220, 463242516, 463242515, 466242615, 463243016, 463346017, 466242616, 463364824, 466242515, 463367516, 463367016, 463246018, 463364024, and 463355422. They are intended for three-burner Tru-Infrared gas grills and are meant to replace the original cooking surface components.

Care and longevity: cast iron needs upkeep to resist rust. After each use scrape away residue, season the bars by applying a thin coat of cooking oil, and allow the grill to dry with vents partially open to limit condensation. Store the grill covered when not in use, and if long-term storage is needed, heavily oil the grates and wrap them to reduce exposure to moisture. Regular maintenance preserves performance and appearance.

Pros

  • Durable, heavy cast iron construction
  • Excellent heat retention for strong searing
  • Direct fit for many Charbroil 3-burner models

Cons

  • Requires regular seasoning and cleaning
  • Heavier and harder to handle than porcelain
  • Will rust if not properly maintained

VerdictSolid cast iron grates that match a variety of Charbroil Commercial Tru-Infrared 3-burner models. They hold and distribute heat well for searing and will revive an older grill when installed correctly, but they do need routine seasoning and cleaning to avoid corrosion.

Reviews

  1. Nana2Syl 5/5

    Good fit and solid quality

New grates matched our grill exactly. Very pleased with the material and finish.

  2. Clint Tate 5/5

Extends the life of my grill

Hard to believe I repaired my grill so cheaply. If they match your model, these parts and a little care will significantly extend service life.

  3. Jacob 5/5

    Exactly the right replacement

Ideal swap for my unit. Installation was simple and the construction feels solid and well made.

  4. Bishop 5/5

    Complete, well-made rebuild option

A complete, sturdy rebuild kit that saved me from buying a new grill. All components lined up; removing the old rusty parts took longer than fitting the new ones. Highly recommend.

  5. Shpeeen 5/5

Keeping our grill in top shape

This is our second pair for the Char-Broil two-burner. They fit exactly and perform well. We cook often and wore out the first set — glad to have a dependable replacement.

  6. Jennifer Reinsma 5/5

Everything needed to refresh the grill

Arrived with all the parts required to make the grill feel new again. Fit was spot-on and everything functions as expected.

  7. Rappers Block 5/5

High quality but not my preference

Pros: attractive porcelain-style plates, professional build, precise fit. Cons: food can get caught in gaps, needs a silicone brush to clean when cool—wire brushes struggled. Great product but demands time for seasoning and upkeep; not the low-maintenance grate I prefer.

  8. Doug R. 5/5

    True replacement for worn grates

Direct replacements for my rusted bars. Early impressions are good—the size suits my older Char-Broil and the workmanship seems on par with the originals; only time will tell durability.

  9. Bob 4/5

    Perfect fit, extras unused

Fit my grill perfectly. No issue if some of the spare parts are left unused.

  10. Glen S. 5/5

    Nice fit

Installed without problems. Would recommend to others with compatible grills.

  11. Guy Cote 5/5
