Product description
What's included
The kit contains one bottle of flesh-colored liquid latex and a small sponge applicator for applying thin layers and building texture.
Formula and materials
The latex uses a skin-safe formula that is vegan and cruelty-free. It dries to a clear finish and is described as hypoallergenic for most users. While wet it gives off a distinct ammonia-like odor that dissipates as it cures. It can be used as an adhesive and as a base for sculpting effects.
How to use
Apply thin coats with the supplied sponge, allowing each layer to dry before adding another to create wrinkles and textured skin. For cuts and gashes, combine the latex with cotton or tissue to form raised edges, then color using eyeshadow or face paint and finish with stage blood for realism. The latex also works to seal scar wax, secure latex bald caps and adhere small prosthetic pieces.
Drying and finish
The product dries relatively quickly and can be layered for depth. Once cured the latex peels away from the skin in one piece for easy removal.
Removal and cleanup
Cured latex removes by gently peeling from the skin and washing the area with soap and water. Dried or coagulated stage blood can stain fabric or skin; warm soapy water helps lift stains. For latex that contacts hair, isopropyl alcohol can assist with removal.
Limitations and handling
Be aware that applicator sponges will absorb product and may be single-use for textured builds. The bottle can be messy to pour from if not handled carefully. Store in a cool, dry place and discard if contamination, such as mold, appears.
Pros
- Buildable texture for realistic effects
- Peels off cleanly after curing
- Vegan and cruelty-free formula
Cons
- Strong ammonia scent while wet
- Applicator sponges can become unusable
- Bottle may be difficult to pour neatly
VerdictA versatile special-effects latex that performs well for basic SFX work and adhesive needs. It builds into realistic textures and peels off after use, though the wet smell can be strong and application tools can become unusable as they soak up product. Good for beginner to occasional users who need an affordable way to create wounds, peeling skin and to secure bald caps or small prosthetics.

Mostly great but messy
Fantastic coverage and texture. I ran out of usable sponges as they soaked up product and the bottle pours too freely, which made application a bit messy.

Very beginner-friendly
Super simple to use even with no experience. The odor is noticeable but manageable.

Held a bald cap all night
Kept my bald cap secure for hours. The smell was strong at first but faded when dry. If it gets in hair, rubbing alcohol helped remove it.
