Product description
This product includes a single handheld Japanese-style grater with an integrated handle.
The grating surface is formed from a shaped stainless-steel sheet whose tiny, angled spikes are worked into the metal. The direction of the spikes allows you to grate effectively by moving ingredients either up or down across the plate, producing very fine, paste-like results when needed.
The blade is stainless steel and the grip is molded from ABS resin with heat resistance up to 60°C. The combination provides strength and easy maintenance while remaining hygienic for regular use.
Dimensions and weight: 95 g; overall length 16 cm; width 7.5 cm; height 1.5 cm; blade length 5 cm. These compact proportions make it suitable for small tasks and easy storage.
Seki City has a long heritage in cutlery and metalwork, producing many of the nation’s knives, scissors and edged tools. Items made there are known for precision and durability, reflecting a tradition of skilled craftsmanship that informs this grater’s construction.

Grating is effortless, cleaning tricky
Ginger grates easily, but removing all residue is a challenge — a focused faucet spray helps.

Sturdy and effective
Solid tool — garlic turns into a smooth paste that blends well into sauces. I rinse around the teeth and run water through them to clean.

Makes ginger more enjoyable
Ginger prep is so much simpler now; this is easier to use than my box grater for small amounts.

Too small for garlic
Size was limiting for my garlic work; a larger grater should give better results.
