Product description
The GMKtec G11 Mini PC is built around the 2026 Ryzen Embedded R2514 processor (Zen+ architecture), a part made for continuous 24/7 use in commercial and industrial deployments. The platform pairs a CPU with a 1.2GHz AMD Radeon GPU that supports modern codecs (H.265/HEVC), DirectX 12 and Vulkan, and can drive up to three independent 4K@60 displays. Benchmarks position the R2514 ahead of common low‑power Intel chips, offering up to roughly 30% better overall compute performance and much higher 3DMark throughput versus the N150 UHD class.
Memory and storage are geared for responsiveness: the unit ships configured with dual‑channel DDR4 (2×8GB for a total of 16GB) to eliminate common GPU memory bottlenecks and improve multitasking, 4K playback and professional workloads. The internal expansion accepts compact M.2 storage (2242 form factor is commonly used in similar builds), and the chassis is a compact metal-and-plastic design measuring approximately 5 × 5 × 2 inches, making it easy to place on a desk or mount behind a monitor with the included VESA bracket.
Connectivity is a standout: two 2.5GbE LAN ports let you run high‑speed backups, NAS services or a compact firewall/router, and the triple‑display outputs (two HDMI 2.0 and one USB‑C with DisplayPort Alt Mode) deliver independent 4K@60 streams without adapters. Wireless connectivity includes Wi‑Fi 6E for low latency on the 6GHz band plus Bluetooth 5.2. Multiple USB 3.2 Type‑A ports and a 10Gbps USB‑C port make attaching fast external SSDs, cameras and peripherals straightforward.
The box typically contains the mini PC, a power adapter, a VESA mounting plate with screws, and basic paperwork including setup instructions and warranty info. GMKtec offers a three‑year warranty starting October 2026: the first year covers full returns and unit replacements, while years two and three provide replacement of major components and access to after‑sales support. Typical use cases include digital signage, multi‑screen office workstations, HTPC setups, lightweight virtualization or home‑lab servers (Proxmox), and small NAS or firewall/router deployments with appropriate software.
Pros
- Strong CPU/GPU performance for a compact unit
- Dual 2.5GbE ports and triple 4K@60 display outputs
- Wi‑Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and fast USB‑C connectivity
Cons
- Limited internal storage form factor (short M.2) and upgrade options
- Some BSD/pfSense setups may need extra drivers or tweaks
- RAM is soldered or limited to the shipped configuration
VerdictThe GMKtec G11 with Ryzen Embedded R2514 is a potent little workstation for its size. The Zen+ R2514 delivers noticeably better throughput than entry-level Intel chips, and the 1.2GHz Radeon engine lifts graphics and multi‑display performance. Dual-channel 16GB RAM and two 2.5GbE Ethernet ports make it attractive for networking duties, light servers and professional multi‑monitor setups. It isn’t

Great for HTPC, quiet and easy to set up
I use this on a 4K TV for streaming and light gaming. Video and audio pass cleanly over HDMI at 4K60. The system is mostly silent and only the faint fan appears under heavier loads. Setup was straightforward and the Wi‑Fi performance on my network is excellent.

Impressed by its size-to-performance ratio
I’ve owned several small GMKtec machines and this R2514 model is the most balanced for my needs. At roughly 5×5×2 inches it barely occupies desk space, and the USB‑C video option keeps cable clutter down. It’s a minimalist-friendly device that still delivers solid performance.

Small powerhouse for desktop use
Compact yet punchy — 4K playback looks great and the unit supports up to three displays. Setup is simple and front USB ports are easy to reach. A great choice when you need serious capability in a small footprint.

pfSense compatibility is not plug‑and‑play
While it can run pfSense, expect extra work. I needed external NICs, additional drivers and configuration tweaks to get stable networking. DHCP and VLAN behavior required troubleshooting; for a hassle‑free BSD firewall experience, hardware with Intel NICs may be a safer bet.

Misleading specs, unhappy with actual capacity
Advertising claimed 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD but the unit contained only 12GB RAM and a 256GB drive. The listed capacities did not match what I received — felt like deceptive marketing.

Very disappointed — wrong configuration and failure
Delivery was slow and the unit I received had a much weaker processor, less RAM and a much smaller SSD than advertised. After a lengthy setup it blue‑screened and would not recover.

Dependable little machine
Handles everything I throw at it without issues and has been running continuously since setup. It manages streaming and interfaces with my fiber router fine. One small wish: an extra USB 3 port would be handy, but otherwise excellent value.

Quiet, competent and value‑oriented
Bought as a backup mini PC and was impressed by its speed for office tasks and video playback. Very quiet when idle and you can disable the annoying case LED in BIOS. Solid purchase for general use.

Solid value and reliable for multiple deployments
As an IT professional managing many endpoints, I’ve used several GMKtec models. This one hits the sweet spot for streaming to TVs and handling backups from networked drives. It replaced older laptops and works well on my home mesh network. For schools or small offices looking to refresh older Windows 10 devices, it’s a compelling choice.

Compact and capable HTPC or server for media
This compact PC handles everyday tasks smoothly and makes a fine Plex or media server. The integrated graphics and AV support make 4K playback effortless. With DDR memory and NVMe storage it boots quickly and multitasks well—ideal for streaming and local media hosting.

Good upgrade from a single‑board computer
Needed more punch than a Pi 5 and this fit perfectly. Strong port selection and easy OS changes — I moved from Windows to Debian/Ubuntu without trouble. Note that the M.2 slot is the shorter 2242 size and memory is fixed, but it’s a great device for the price.

Know the limits, excellent for low‑power desktop and firewall use
Not a high‑end system, but a competent, quiet mini desktop that runs multiple monitors and basic office workloads. Be aware full‑length NVMe modules won’t fit the chassis, so storage choices are constrained. The M.2 socket itself is usable, but pick the correct length. Great bang‑for‑buck for media playback and light office duties.

Tiny, capable, and very portable
I pushed this unit hard to try and find a weakness and it held up. Its compact size makes it easy to move between locations, and it delivers plenty of power for everyday homeowner tasks. It has all the ports I need, including a DisplayPort option for chaining monitors, and I’ve freed some USB ports by using Bluetooth peripherals. Good alternative to bulky towers or laptops.
