Product description
What’s included: one 10.14 oz spray bottle of hypochlorous acid wound care solution designed for poultry and other birds.
Formula and materials: the active component is hypochlorous acid (HOCl) in an aqueous solution. The formula is alcohol-free, dye-free and non-toxic, with no antibiotics or harsh chemicals. It is safe for topical use and formulated so it won’t sting the way alcohol-based antiseptics can.
Intended uses: spray directly onto scrapes, peck wounds, cuts, bumblefoot, minor burns and irritated skin, and to support care of vent prolapses. It helps reduce redness and swelling and supports the skin’s natural healing process while keeping the area clean and protected.
How to use: clean any debris from the area, then spray the affected spot from a short distance until moist. Reapply as needed—often once or several times daily—until healed. Because it contains no antibiotics, there is no required withdrawal period for food animals.
Safety and recommendations: developed with veterinary input and suitable for chickens, ducks and other birds. Non-toxic if licked and appropriate for routine first-aid care on backyard flocks, with repeat applications recommended for ongoing wounds.
Pros
- Gentle HOCl formula that cleans without stinging
- Suitable for a variety of poultry wounds and skin issues
- Alcohol-, dye-, and antibiotic-free with no withdrawal period
Cons
- Single bottle size may require repurchasing for large flocks
- Requires repeat applications for deeper or severe wounds
- Not a substitute for systemic antibiotics or surgical care
VerdictA gentle, HOCl-based spray that cleans and soothes common poultry injuries without harsh additives. It’s veterinarian-developed, safe if pecked or licked, and intended for routine first aid on flocks. Works well for surface wounds but requires repeated application for deeper problems and is not a systemic medication.

Works well; curious about HOCl sources
Effective on wounds and eye-safe for my birds. I wonder if bulk HOCl would be cheaper, but this bottle was soothing—even helped my poison ivy.
