Product description
Real‑time monitoring: The Guardian Monitor Wi‑Fi continuously measures pH, conductivity and temperature and streams the data to the Edenic by Bluelab app for instant alerts, historical trends and remote checks. It gives growers the freedom to observe reservoir conditions from anywhere and react quickly to fluctuations.
Display and measurement options: Conductivity is reported in EC and CF plus two TDS scales (ppm 500 and ppm 700). Temperature can be shown in °C or °F. The unit’s display and green plant‑safe LEDs are easy to read and include adjustable brightness to suit different mounting locations.
Alerting and memory: Configure high/low alarms for pH, conductivity and temperature and receive push notifications to your phone. The device retains settings in non‑volatile memory so custom ranges and calibrations persist through power interruptions.
Probes and cabling: The kit includes a double‑junction replaceable pH probe with a BNC connector and two‑metre (6.6 ft) sensor cables for convenient placement in reservoirs. The conductivity sensor is fixed inside the unit while the pH probe can be swapped without replacing the whole monitor.
Calibration and use: Calibration is a simple two‑point process on the unit and can also be managed through the app. Included calibration fluids are adequate for initial setup and routine recalibration. The monitor mounts to systems easily and provides continuous, on‑the‑fly readings for automated or manual nutrient management.
Power and compatibility: The unit supports 110–240 VAC and ships with an interchangeable mains plug to suit regional outlets. Built‑in Wi‑Fi provides remote connectivity to the Edenic app for notifications, logging and control.
Build and handling: The enclosure and connectors are designed for horticultural use, with water‑resistant routing for probe cables and a secure mounting bracket. The replaceable pH probe and robust display make it suitable for small commercial and advanced home setups.
Pros
- Continuous remote monitoring with push alerts
- Replaceable double‑junction pH probe and simple calibration
- Clear multi‑scale conductivity and temperature readouts
Cons
- Wi‑Fi app reliability reported as inconsistent
- pH probes are consumables and may need replacement
- Some users report noisy alert behavior and false alarms
VerdictA reliable real‑time monitoring device for hydroponic reservoirs that offers accurate pH, conductivity and temperature readings, remote alerts, and straightforward calibration. Strong hardware and responsive support for most users, but app reliability and occasional probe failures are common complaints to consider.

Flawless operation after a year
I’ve run this monitor in my greenhouse hydroponic setup for about a year and it has been rock solid. Readings stay consistent and my plants look healthier because I can keep nutrient chemistry in check.

Accurate across water temperatures
This unit holds accurate pH readings even when tap water is very cold, unlike cheaper meters that shift with temperature. Calibration is easy and I trust the initial mixes more; I now own multiple units.

Setup tip fixes most connectivity issues
If you can’t pair it, put the Guardian into PROVISION mode first (Settings → Temp button) before pairing. Once paired it sends reliable real‑time alerts and stops small drifts from turning into big problems.

Reliable hardware and global support
Solid build quality, dependable readings and customer service that works internationally. Simple calibration and remote control via the app made it my go‑to monitor for a year.

LCD works but Wi‑Fi app fails
Calibration and local readings are fine, but the Wi‑Fi app simply won’t let me log in. If you need remote access, be aware this part may be flaky and support timelines can be slow.

App won’t load for me
The monitor seems fine locally but the app on my phone just loops and never loads. I bought it for remote monitoring, so without the app it doesn’t meet my needs. Returning it for a different system.

Two units failed, returned one
One unit had a cut connection inside the probe cable and the other refused to open the app despite resets and re‑installs. After long troubleshooting, I returned it.

Faulty pH probe on arrival
Device returned due to a pH probe that would not calibrate. Probe failed out of the box.

Consistent reservoir monitoring saves time
This monitor gives real‑time pH, EC and temp so manual checks are no longer necessary. Calibration is quick, the supplied fluids are enough to start, and the bracket makes mounting easy. Works well with automated pH control.

A dependable partner for precise growing
Setup was effortless and the interface is intuitive. Continuous monitoring of pH, EC and temperature gives me confidence to spot changes early and protect plant health.

Good value for prosumers, support is responsive
Remember pH probes are consumables. I bought two units; one arrived with a bad probe but customer service quickly sent a replacement. API access is straightforward if you want to integrate data yourself.

Worked well then started false alerts
Initially it was great, but under a year it began spamming alarms that didn’t match the display. Support suggested widening ranges, which isn’t a real fix. I ended up missing a genuine temperature issue.

Finally a steady, dependable meter
After testing many unstable meters, this one stays steady. No wild jumps, precise readings, easy calibration, and it dropped right into my reservoir system and worked reliably.
