Product description
These de‑pilling tools come as a pack of two identical sweater combs so you have a spare or one to keep in a travel bag.
Each comb pairs a smooth, finished beech wood handle with a small metal cutting surface. The wood is lightweight, impact‑resistant, and shaped so the edge won’t dig into your hands. The metal teeth are set to lift and trim surface fuzz without pulling the fabric when used correctly.
Size: approximately 7.8 x 4.5 cm (3.1 x 1.8 in), a palm‑friendly dimension that tucks into a drawer or travel pouch. After each pass, clear the trapped lint from the comb so it keeps working cleanly.
How to use: hold the garment taut, place the comb at a slight angle and glide it lightly over the pilled areas. Use gentle, repeated strokes rather than pressing hard. This method removes dust, lint balls, and bobbles and refreshes the look of sweaters, coats, and jackets.
Suitable fabrics: intended for cashmere and wool pullovers and other natural knits. If you plan to use it on other materials, test on an inconspicuous spot first to ensure no surface abrasion occurs.
Pros
- Gentle on wool and cashmere
- Compact and easy to store
- No batteries or special tools required
Cons
- Less effective on synthetic blends
- Requires manual effort for heavy pilling
- Some pieces may feel flimsy
VerdictA simple, low‑tech solution for keeping knitwear looking fresh. The wooden handles and metal combs work well on natural fibers like wool and cashmere and are easy to carry. They need a little elbow grease and aren’t as effective on synthetic blends, and build quality varies between units. Overall useful for maintenance of delicate sweaters when used carefully.

Construction issues
Feels cheaply made — the cutting mesh detached on mine.

Poorly made — broke after just a few uses. Disappointing.

Cardigan tool
My favorite so far for tidying cardigans.

Better on natural fibers
Performs nicely on wool but seemed to roughen the surface of an acrylic blend. Works well on natural fabrics, mixed results on synthetics.

Good for acrylic pills
I usually buy cotton, but when I pick up an acrylic blend it pills fast. This comb handles those pills when they first appear.

Ideal for cashmere and wool
Great for removing small pills on wool and grooming cashmere. Move the metal comb gently over the knit and it freshens the sweater nicely. A good winter wardrobe helper.

Fantastic for tiny lint
My bras and some tops collected stubborn lint that washing didn’t remove. This comb cleared it away quickly and also removed fluff from shedding towels without ripping threads. Very effective for those small, persistent bits.

Works well with effort
You need to work at it if a piece is heavily pilled, but the results are good. No batteries and it stashes easily in a drawer or bag—handy and compact.
