Product description
What you get: a single circular slipmat made from natural cork, sized at 295 mm (11.6") in diameter and 1.6 mm in thickness.
Material and build: the mat is crafted from cork, offering a slightly springy surface that helps absorb unwanted vibration and reduce resonance transferred from the platter to the stylus. Its thin, flexible profile lets records sit flat while still providing some give for tracking.
How it’s used: simply place the cork mat on the turntable platter beneath your vinyl before spinning. The mat is intended to provide a more stable resting surface than felt alternatives, minimizing record movement during playback. Some users secure it with a small amount of double‑sided tape if they want a fixed position.
Compatibility and care: at 295 mm across it fits most standard turntables and adapters. The cork surface does not tend to attract lint and won’t shed fibers like some felt mats, making it low maintenance. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth; avoid soaking or aggressive cleaners.
Pros
- Reduces platter resonance and vibration
- Thin 1.6 mm profile balances flexibility and support
- Low lint and minimal shedding
Cons
- May not eliminate static in all environments
- Very lightweight—some users feel it shifts
- Not as grippy as rubber alternatives
VerdictA straightforward cork slipmat that dampens platter resonance and gives records a steadier platform. The 1.6 mm thickness strikes a balance between flexibility and support, and the 295 mm diameter suits most standard turntables. It resists lint and shedding, though a few users still noted static issues in some setups.

Had to send it back
It failed to solve my issues, so I returned it. Slightly larger than some platters and feels very light.

At least no lint
Doesn't leave fuzz like felt, but the record still clings to the pad electrostatically.

Packaging ruined it
Nice mat but arrived with terrible packaging.

Worth swapping from felt
I didn't have the problems others described. I stuck it lightly in place with double‑sided tape and it's been fine. Produces noticeably less static than the felt mat that came with my turntable, and it looks and feels good.

Not worth it for static
Did nothing to control static for me — I ended up returning it.

Does the job, sort of
Works... okay.

Increased static for me
Contrary to expectations, I got more static than with the original felt mat.

Great fit
Everything perfect, ideal size for my new cartridge. My turntable has no VTA adjuster, so this was a good match.

Still had sticking problems
Bought this to stop static on my Pro‑Ject A1 because the felt mat stuck to records. The cork reduced static a bit but albums still stuck when I lifted them. Might behave better in a room without carpet. I eventually switched to a rubber mat that holds records in place.
