Product description
This set contains a 1,000-piece die-cut jigsaw puzzle and a short story booklet that lays out a murder scenario. The booklet includes the narrative clues and the final pages contain a mirrored message mechanic: using a reflective surface reveals the identity of the killer.
Pieces are printed on sturdy puzzle stock with an interlocking cut for standard assembly; when completed the puzzle measures approximately 23 inches by 29 inches. Note that the picture shown on the box is not the actual image you assemble — the finished artwork carries the clues you must examine alongside the story to solve the case.
To use: read the short-story introduction to learn the circumstances, assemble the 1,000-piece puzzle and inspect the assembled scene for visual hints. Then consult the storybook to combine textual and pictorial clues; the last pages are designed to be read in a mirror to confirm the solution. Story booklet included.
Pros
- Story-driven puzzle experience
- Challenging, assembly-focused gameplay
- Quality cardstock and frame-worthy art
Cons
- Box image does not match the puzzle
- Occasional missing or poorly lying pieces reported
- Solution depends heavily on the booklet clues
VerdictThis puzzle blends a traditional 1,000-piece cardboard jigsaw with a short mystery booklet to create an investigative experience. The assembled image differs from the box art, so solvers must rely on both the puzzle artwork and the narrative to identify the murderer. Most enjoy the added twist and frame-worthy art, though some buyers report occasional fit or missing-piece issues. Overall, engaging

Good mystery, but one piece missing
Fun to solve, but it arrived missing a single piece which was annoying right out of the box.

Worth a solid 8/10
Not easy, but entertaining and satisfying to complete.

Disappointing
We didn’t enjoy it; the images seemed unrelated to the films and missed the mark for us.

Tough but enjoyable
One of the more demanding puzzles we've finished — in a good way.

Exactly what I expected
A simple fun puzzle. There wasn’t much technical detail in the listing, but I liked it.

Enjoyed it despite a flaw
I liked the no-picture approach. A few pieces didn’t sit perfectly and one was missing, but the seller provided a replacement so the overall experience was fine.

Really entertaining
Very fun — came with a murder scenario and the finished puzzle helps you work out the case. Quite challenging without a final image to copy from.

Great concept, weaker payoff
Love that the box art is different and the completed image looks great framed. However, solving the crime leaned more on reading the story than spotting subtle puzzle details, which felt a bit underwhelming.

Fun and high-quality — I'll buy another
Stuck in a hotel, I grabbed this out of boredom and loved it. The mystery element of not knowing the final image made it more engaging. Pieces were solid and the compact box was convenient. I skipped the clues at first to try it blind, but next time I'll read them. Highly recommend.

Challenging yet rewarding
Perfect lockdown activity — tough build and the extra step of solving the murder at the end made it worthwhile.

Excellent
Quick delivery and arrived as described — very good quality.

A different challenge — fun
I usually prefer a reference image, so this was more difficult, but not overly frustrating. Remember the cover art is not the actual finished picture.
