Video, field of view and connectivity

Smart detection and cloud features
On-device and cloud-assisted intelligence identifies people, packages, vehicles and pets, and can reduce false motion alerts. You can customize activity zones to focus monitoring on walkways or porches and add privacy zones to block sensitive areas. Quick tip about resolution and live view
Device performs well, but when set to the highest resolution the live feed can take longer to begin when someone rings. Lowering the resolution produces a near-instant view. Still very happy with my Arlo gear overall.

Excellent image and battery, subscription needed for extras
I bought it to secure my front entrance. 2K HDR gives a sharp image day and night and the wide view captures people and packages. Two-way audio works well and alerts are timely. My battery lasts about six weeks between charges. Note that many advanced features require the Arlo Secure subscription after the trial period.

Very happy with this apartment setup
Glad I picked this doorbell — clear video and good audio for my apartment. The rechargeable battery lasts well and mounting was simple. I added an anti-theft mount that fit fine. Captions and motion descriptions are handy and make me consider keeping the premium features. Wi‑Fi setup was straightforward and night vision is clear. I did feel annoyed when it went on promotion shortly after my purchase, but overall I’m pleased.

Extremely impressed with performance
Stumbled on this doorbell and it exceeded expectations. Video and audio quality are excellent with no noticeable delay. Setup was effortless and motion detection worked perfectly during testing. Some features fall short of expectations
I switched from another brand expecting better results. The image is somewhat improved, but I dislike that the battery cannot be swapped — I must remove the unit to recharge it. Hardwiring would require extra parts I can’t use in my apartment. Recordings are not always continuous, and I get many notifications for routine triggers. Setup was fairly easy, but I may try a different brand.
